Warriors For His Glory has used the following Statement of Faith, signed by every staff member, for many years as a demonstration of our commitment to Christ, to His church, and to the Scriptures.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
When it comes to beliefs there are many ideas and interpretations so we focus on the core doctrines and beliefs of Scripture that unite the body of Christ. (We are focused heavily on relationship and tend to ignore the "religion culture")
THE BIBLE
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were led by the Spirit of God to write the very words that we find in Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error and are unchangeable. They have the power to accomplish His purpose of salvation.
GOD
We believe there is one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe God created everything that exists or has ever existed, but that people are his greatest treasure. We believe God is infinite, holy and perfect, yet He still desires to interact relationally with each person. Our God is the Creator and Lord of the universe and who governs all things according to His will and purposes.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the lost world. We believe he lived a sinless life, and through His death and resurrection, we can be made right with God. We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, and in His miracles.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity, and that He is actively involved in the life of every follower of Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit encounters a person upon their belief and confession that Jesus is Lord. We also believe the Holy Spirit offers special empowerment and infilling for the godly through spiritual gifts and talents that are used for His service, and by whose indwelling we are enabled to live godly lives.
PEOPLE
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own effort alone.
SALVATION
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation occurs only when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
THE CHURCH
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world.
